TEMP Compliance Analyst (Real Estate & Business Operations)
Evergreen ResidentialA batch of SOP notices hits the queue at 8 a.m. Some are routine violations. One is a time-sensitive service of process that needs to reach legal before noon. Sorting that stack quickly, every day, without letting anything slip through, is a big part of what this role actually looks like.
What This Role Covers
Evergreen Residential operates an institutional single-family rental and build-to-rent platform, and at that scale, entity compliance is a serious operational function. This is a temporary position running from November 2026 through April 2027, based in Charlotte with a 4/1 hybrid schedule. The scope is broad and genuinely varied.
The largest piece is annual report and registered agent management. The portfolio spans over 800 entities and state registrations, including 618+ VB entity filings. You'll coordinate with registered agents, track due dates across jurisdictions, compile filing information, confirm completions, and keep records current. High-volume, detail-intensive work where a missed deadline has real consequences.
Beyond entity filings, the role carries responsibility for maintaining a living database of state-specific property management licensing and regulatory requirements across all operating states. SFR at institutional scale means operating in dozens of jurisdictions simultaneously, and those regulatory environments don't hold still. You'll monitor changes and push updates to legal and operations before they become problems.
Daily SOP notice review and routing is another core function. Every incoming notice gets evaluated and directed to the right team, whether that's the violation team, evictions, legal, or another function. Time-sensitive and high-risk items get escalated. This requires judgment, not just process-following.
The role also includes weekly compliance reporting to NexPoint, Evergreen's investor partner, in a set format with regular follow-up Q&A. Organized recordkeeping matters here for audit purposes. Rounding it out is administration of the Grace Hill Learning Management System: user onboarding and deactivation, training assignments coordinated with department heads, completion tracking, and compliance documentation.
What You Bring
- Experience managing multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional compliance obligations, ideally in real estate, legal, or a related operational environment
- Comfort working within registered agent platforms and tracking filing deadlines across a large entity portfolio
- Familiarity with state property management regulatory requirements, or a demonstrated ability to research and synthesize them quickly
- Experience triaging and routing legal or compliance notices with appropriate urgency
- Strong recordkeeping habits and attention to detail in a high-volume environment
- Ability to prepare clear, consistent reporting for institutional investor audiences
- Grace Hill LMS administration experience is a plus, though not required
SFR at institutional scale has grown fast enough that compliance infrastructure is still catching up at many platforms. The person who does well here understands that maintaining clean entity records and staying current on regulatory requirements across dozens of states isn't background work. It's what keeps the operation in good standing. Attention to detail and follow-through matter more than any particular credential.
