Entry-Level Accounts Receivable Administrator
AIR CommunitiesMultifamily ownership at scale creates an operational layer that on-site teams simply can't manage alone. When a company like AIR Communities runs apartment communities across multiple major markets from a centralized platform, someone has to own the financial accuracy that keeps those properties running cleanly. This accounts receivable role sits at that intersection: corporate discipline applied to the messy, real-world details of resident ledgers, lease lifecycles, and delinquency management.
The Day-to-Day Work
This is a five-day, in-office position based at AIR's corporate offices in the Denver Tech Center. The team here provides centralized AR support across AIR's national portfolio, which means your work touches communities you'll never visit in person but still affects directly. On a given day, that looks like auditing resident account activity, working through a shared support mailbox, coordinating with on-site teams to make sure leasing-related transactions post correctly, and helping move non-payment files through the eviction support process when needed.
The delinquency piece is worth understanding before you apply. Supporting eviction-related files is a routine part of accounts receivable in multifamily, and at a portfolio this size, it's a consistent part of the workload. It requires steady communication, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to follow policy precisely, especially when timelines are legally sensitive.
The schedule is a genuine asset here: consistent Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends free. That's not the norm across all PM roles, and it's a meaningful quality-of-life factor for people building a career rather than burning through one.
What AIR Is Looking For
- One to two years of experience in customer service, administrative work, retail, hospitality, or a comparable field
- High accuracy in data entry and a track record of catching your own errors
- Comfort picking up new software quickly (you'll work across multiple systems)
- Strong written communication, since a significant portion of coordination happens through a centralized inbox
- Self-directed work habits and the ability to prioritize without constant direction
- Property management background is a plus, but the team will train someone who comes from outside the industry
Pay runs $24 to $27 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA options, company-paid short and long-term disability, a 401(k) with up to 6% employer match, paid parental leave up to 16 weeks, tuition assistance, and a 25% rent discount at any AIR community.
For someone who wants a foothold in corporate real estate operations, this role builds skills that transfer broadly: ledger reconciliation, delinquency workflows, cross-team communication, and systems fluency. Those are the same foundations that feed into property accounting, asset management support, or centralized operations leadership as a career develops.
