Leasing Consultant

Park at Oak Ridge Apartments in Greensboro is hiring a part-time Customer Experience Specialist. The role sits at the front end of the leasing cycle: greeting prospects, fielding calls and messages, showing available homes, and making sure residents feel taken care of after they move in.

Day-to-day, you're the first voice people hear when they call the office and the first face they see when they walk in. You'll stay current on available units and pricing so you can answer questions without putting anyone on hold to find out. You'll walk the tour path, amenity areas, and vacant apartments daily to confirm everything looks right before a prospect arrives or a new resident moves in. Package organization, community event planning, and some social media support round out the week.

Cottonwood operates self-guided tours across their portfolio, which means prospects may already be mid-tour when they reach you with questions. Knowing how to pick up that conversation, answer accurately, and keep the experience smooth is a real part of this job.

The schedule is part-time, up to 24 hours per week, with evening and weekend availability required. This is a customer-facing role, so the hours reflect when prospects and residents actually need you.

What they're looking for

  • Strong verbal and written communication across phone, email, and text
  • A friendly, composed presence when greeting residents, prospects, and vendors
  • Attention to detail when walking units and common areas for make-ready readiness
  • Ability to retain and clearly explain pricing and availability information
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends consistently
  • Interest in growing toward a management track over time

Candidates who tend to do well in roles like this are organized communicators who don't need to be reminded to follow up. If you can hold a friendly conversation, notice when something's off in a unit before a tour, and send a clear email without a lot of back-and-forth, you'll fit the pace here.
