Operations Support Coordinator

What You'll Actually Do

This role sits at the intersection of dispatch, project coordination, and escalation management. You're not handling routine work orders. The OSC owns the complex stuff: multi-trade project work orders, local office priorities, and the situations that have already gone sideways before they reach you. On any given day, that means sequencing and linking work orders so vendors show up in the right order, coordinating appointments between residents and contractors who have completely different availability windows, and serving as the last stop before something gets escalated to a Team Lead or Affiliate Market Manager.

You'll also be the shift handoff point. When one team wraps and another picks up, you're the one making sure nothing falls through the gap. That's a real responsibility that requires clean documentation, accurate data entry, and the kind of communication habits that don't rely on people just knowing things. Lessen operates across multiple markets, so your vendor relationships and your ability to hold affiliates accountable to their agreed scope of work matters more than it might in a single-property operation.

What You Bring

• At least 4 years in a customer service role, ideally in dispatch, CSR, or similar coordination work with a strong performance track record
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Organizational instincts. You track commitments in real time and don't let things age
• Trades knowledge or property maintenance background is a genuine advantage here, not a nice-to-have checkbox
• Experience with Lessen's One platform is strongly preferred
• High school diploma required; 1 to 3 years of relevant coordinator or ops experience preferred
• Shift flexibility, since coverage needs don't always fit a standard 9-to-5

A Few Honest Notes

What separates a strong OSC from an average one is trades literacy. You don't need to swing a hammer, but if you can't tell the difference between a scope that's reasonable and one that's been padded, or if you can't speak credibly with a vendor about sequencing a make-ready, you'll be slower and less effective than someone who can. The role is coordination-heavy, but the judgment calls require real context about how maintenance work actually flows.

Lessen is a third-party maintenance and property services operation working at scale across markets. That means the volume is real, the vendor network is broad, and the expectations around data accuracy are high. If you've come from a single-site or small-portfolio background, the pace and the system discipline here will be an adjustment. But if you've got dispatch or multi-market ops experience and you're comfortable owning the hard tickets that other coordinators hand off, this role has a clear path toward team lead and market-level operations responsibilities.
