This role splits your week across two Van Metre communities in Arlington: three days at Park Georgetown Apartments and two days at The Myerton. You're not bouncing between properties randomly. You're building resident relationships and driving occupancy at both, which means staying organized, keeping your product knowledge current at each site, and managing your time across two distinct communities.
The core of the job is leasing and retention. You'll handle inbound traffic, conduct tours, follow up with prospects by phone and email, process applications, and work lease renewals. Alongside that, you'll do grassroots marketing to bring in new traffic, coordinate with the service team on maintenance requests, and help plan resident events.
There's a physical component too. You'll walk the exterior of each community three times a week, noting anything that needs attention: landscaping, paint, damage, curb appeal issues. You'll also inspect vacant units and flag repairs before turns are complete. These aren't optional tasks. They're part of maintaining the product quality that supports leasing performance.
Weekend availability is required.
Base pay runs $20 to $21 per hour depending on experience. On top of that, the role carries up to $5,000 in annual bonus paid quarterly, plus leasing and renewal commissions. Benefits include 11 paid holidays, 10 vacation days, 10 sick days, personal days, a birthday day off, winter break, and comprehensive parental leave. Van Metre also offers a 401(k) with company match, up to $900 in annual wellness reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and a rental discount.
One thing worth knowing about multi-site leasing roles: the split schedule sharpens skills that transfer well into property management. You learn to adapt your pitch and service style to different resident profiles, manage competing priorities across sites, and build credibility with multiple teams. Candidates who thrive in this kind of setup tend to move into assistant manager or management roles faster than those working a single property.
Van Metre has operated in the Washington, D.C. area since 1955. Arlington is a competitive submarket, and both Park Georgetown and The Myerton are positioned at the upper end of the rental market, so you'll be expected to represent the brand at a consistent level across both communities.
