Leasing Consultant

Park Avenue Apartments sits in one of Salt Lake City's more competitive rental corridors, where Class A communities have been stacking up and renters have real choices. That context matters for this role. Cottonwood Residential is looking for a Customer Experience Manager who can turn traffic into signed leases and signed leases into residents who actually want to stay.

The title signals what Cottonwood emphasizes: this is a leasing and resident relations position built around service, not just transaction processing. Day to day, you'll work prospects from first inquiry through move-in, handle applications and lease documentation, and support move-outs with the same attention you'd give a new lease. You'll also carry some supervisory weight, overseeing Customer Experience Specialists and stepping into a lead role when the Community Manager is away. That's meaningful exposure for someone who wants to grow toward a community manager seat.

Cottonwood adopted self-guided tours early, which shapes how this team operates. A solid chunk of your traffic arrives having already toured on their own schedule. That means your follow-up and conversion work carries more weight than it does at communities where every prospect gets a staffed tour. You need to be sharp on follow-through and comfortable working leads who came in without a personal handshake.

The marketing piece is real, not just a line item. Outreach marketing, social media, and online reputation management are part of the job, and the team coordinates resident events alongside leasing activity. If you've only ever worked inbound traffic, this role will stretch you.

Entrata Core experience is a plus here, which makes sense given how widely it's used across Utah's multifamily market. Fair Housing knowledge is expected, not optional.

What Cottonwood is looking for

  • At least one year of multifamily property management experience
  • Background in leasing, sales, or customer service
  • General marketing and social media experience, including online channels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with basic accounting concepts (a plus, not a hard requirement)
  • Entrata Core familiarity (preferred)
  • Weekend availability (required)

The schedule is full-time with flexibility expected across evenings and weekends. Benefits kick in within the first thirty days and include full medical, vision, dental, life, and disability coverage, a 401k with company match, HSA matching, three weeks of PTO in year one, and ten and a half paid holidays.

Candidates who stand out in this type of role tend to be the ones who treat every interaction as a potential referral source. Salt Lake City's rental market is tight-knit enough that word travels, and Cottonwood's #HomeAtLast positioning is only as good as the experience residents actually have at move-in and beyond.
