BAM Companies, founded in 2010 and operating across multiple markets, is hiring for this hands-on leadership role at one of their Champaign properties. The pay range is $26 to $29 per hour, depending on experience.

What the Job Covers

You'll lead the on-site maintenance team day to day. That means managing work orders, coordinating preventative maintenance schedules, and being the person your team turns to when a repair gets complicated. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are the core technical areas. You're expected to know them, not just oversee people who do.

Beyond the mechanical side, you're accountable for grounds, common areas, and overall curb appeal. Make-readies fall under your scope too, so turns get done right and on schedule. You'll manage supply purchasing, keep an eye on costs, and make sure the work your team produces meets BAM's property standards.

Team development is part of the job, not a side task. You'll coach, give feedback, and train staff. If someone on your team doesn't know how to do something correctly, that's your problem to solve.

What BAM Wants to See

• 2 to 3 years of property maintenance experience; supervisory background is a plus
• EPA Type 2 or Universal Certification (required)
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Hands-on approach. You lead from the front, not from an office
