Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

What the Role Actually Covers

This is a support and coordination role as much as a technical one. You're working alongside the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule daily work, keep technicians on track, and make sure make-ready units hit their target dates. You'll help inspect turns, close out punch lists, and step in hands-on when the team needs it to meet a deadline. Beyond unit work, you're responsible for the shop itself: equipment condition, supply inventory, key security, and the general discipline that keeps a maintenance operation running cleanly. Tour routes and models are part of your watch too. If they don't look right, that's on you to flag and fix before a prospect walks through.

Spending approvals run through the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. You're expected to communicate repair needs and requisitions before money goes out, not after. Safety compliance is non-negotiable and part of daily oversight.

What You Bring

• At least one year of hands-on maintenance experience across general maintenance disciplines
• Comfort with technology, including maintenance software and related applications
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Physical ability to meet the demands of daily maintenance work
• The ability to take direction and give it, depending on the moment

The best candidates at this level know how to manage up and manage down in the same shift. You're relaying information to supervisors about what's needed while also keeping techs focused and moving.
