A 624-unit community with a nine-person maintenance team is a real operation. At this size, the Maintenance Supervisor role isn't just a technical job with a title attached. It's a coordination role, a quality control role, and a customer service role, all wrapped into one. Weinstein Properties has owned and operated apartment communities for over 70 years, and that kind of tenure tends to produce clear systems and genuine promotion paths for people who perform.
Bexley Village at Concord Mills sits in the Concord submarket northeast of Charlotte, a corridor that's seen consistent residential demand tied to employment and retail growth around Concord Mills. Keeping a 624-unit garden-style community performing well in that market means occupancy and NOI both depend, in part, on how fast and how cleanly your team executes turns and handles service requests.
This is a hands-on supervisory position. Weinstein is specific about that. You'll work alongside your team, not just direct them. The technical baseline is real: HVAC diagnosis and repair, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, pool maintenance, and exterior structural work. EPA/CFC Universal or Type I and II certification is required before you start, not something you'll earn on the job here.
On the supervisory side, you'll coordinate daily workflows, manage vendor scheduling, oversee make-ready turns, and handle work order assignment through business software. With nine people reporting to you, your ability to triage competing priorities across a large property will matter as much as your trade skills. You'll also share on-call rotation with your teammates, and Weinstein pays a bonus for those weeks.
Strong candidates already know their trades cold. What separates the best applicants is the ability to run a team without micromanaging it. At 624 units, you can't be at every work order. You need to trust your team, set quality standards, and inspect results. The supervisors who grow fastest in roles like this are the ones who treat every turn and every service call as a data point: how long did it take, what did it cost, and did the resident notice the difference.
Weinstein promotes from within and backs that up with training investment. A Maintenance Supervisor who performs well here builds a clear path toward Regional Maintenance Director or multi-site oversight. The company owns and manages its entire portfolio, which means the institutional knowledge you develop at Bexley Village translates directly to other Weinstein communities rather than getting lost in a third-party management structure.
A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available. Details are covered during the interview process.
