Weinstein Properties has operated its own communities for over 70 years, and Bexley Chamblee in the Atlanta metro fits that same model: owned, managed, and maintained in-house. For a Maintenance Supervisor, that structure matters. There's no third-party management layer between you and decisions, which means less friction when you need to move on a repair, a vendor call, or a turn.
This is a working supervisor role. You'll lead a service team while staying hands-on across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, and pool maintenance. Scheduling turns, managing work orders through business software, coordinating vendors, and running punch lists are all part of the job. You'll share on-call rotation with teammates, with a bonus paid for those on-call periods.
The Chamblee submarket sits in a busy corridor northeast of Atlanta, with a mix of garden-style communities and newer mid-rise product. Resident expectations in this area trend toward responsive, professional service, so the customer-facing side of this role carries real weight. How quickly and cleanly your team closes work orders directly affects occupancy and renewal rates.
Candidates who stand out in this type of role typically bring more than technical breadth. The ability to prioritize competing work orders under pressure, coach junior technicians without slowing down production, and communicate clearly with residents separates strong supervisors from average ones. HVAC diagnostic confidence is especially useful given Georgia's climate demands on cooling systems.
Weinstein promotes from within and provides training for technicians who want to move up. For someone currently working as a lead tech or assistant supervisor, this role is a natural step toward a service director or regional maintenance position. Because Weinstein owns all of its communities across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia, internal mobility is a real option rather than a talking point.
The position includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus (details discussed during the interview), competitive base pay tied to experience, quarterly and annual bonus opportunities, rent discount, birthday time off, PTO, paid holidays, health, dental and vision coverage, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401k with company match. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with shared on-call rotation after hours.
