Maintenance Custodian

Paragon Properties is hiring a Maintenance Custodian for their residential community in Clinton Township, Michigan. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. No nights, no weekends, no on-call rotation. That's worth noting because it's not the norm in property maintenance.

What You'll Actually Do

This role covers the day-to-day upkeep that keeps a residential community clean, safe, and presentable. Expect a mix of custodial work and light maintenance across common areas, buildings, and grounds. You'll handle cleaning tasks, basic repairs, and general property upkeep using hand tools and power tools. Knowing your chemicals matters here: proper product selection protects surfaces, keeps residents safe, and keeps the property out of liability trouble.

The job runs best when someone takes ownership of their section without needing to be managed step by step. You'll work alongside a team but spend real stretches of time working independently. Reliable attendance and your own transportation are requirements, not preferences.

What You Bring

• Prior cleaning or light maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, and safe handling
• Comfort with basic hand and power tools
• Self-directed work habits and consistent follow-through
• Valid driver's license (recommended)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical

Compensation and Benefits
