Leasing Manager - Olympus Corsair
Olympus PropertyIt's a Tuesday morning and three prospects are scheduled back-to-back, your leasing team needs a coaching moment before the first tour, and you're also fielding a renewal question from a long-term resident who got a competing offer down the street. That's a pretty normal hour at the Corsair.
The Role
Olympus Property is hiring a Leasing Manager for Olympus Corsair in San Diego. This position sits between the leasing team and property leadership. You're responsible for driving occupancy, but you're also the person who shapes how your team presents, follows up, and closes. Expect to spend time on the floor alongside consultants, not just reviewing their numbers from behind a desk.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and developing the leasing staff, holding them accountable to follow-up standards (calls, emails, handwritten notes to prospects), and tracking traffic reports, lease counts, move-ins, and move-outs on a weekly and monthly basis. You'll conduct market surveys, show and lease apartment homes yourself, and prepare lease paperwork through move-in. Resident retention is part of the job too: planning and attending resident events, handling concerns before they escalate, and visiting locators and local businesses to keep traffic coming in. You'll also work out of RealPage/Knock/OneSite, so familiarity with that stack matters.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, with flexibility for resident events and rotating weekends. San Diego's rental market is competitive enough that strong follow-up cadence and locator relationships genuinely move the needle here. If you've worked lease-up or high-traffic Class A communities, you already know how much consistency in prospect follow-up affects closing ratios.
What Olympus Is Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience as an apartment leasing consultant
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a leasing team
- Hands-on experience with RealPage, Knock, or OneSite strongly preferred
- Comfort closing leases directly while also coaching others to do the same
- Availability for after-hours resident events and periodic weekend coverage
Olympus has been recognized as a National Apartment Association Top Employer from 2023 through 2025. Compensation runs $25 to $27 per hour depending on experience, plus monthly leasing commissions and resident renewal bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer matching, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, an apartment rental allowance, and a sabbatical program.
What tends to separate strong candidates in this specific role: the ability to build and actually run a follow-up system, not just describe one in an interview. Prospects in a market like San Diego are shopping multiple properties simultaneously. Teams that follow up consistently and personally win more of those decisions. If you've built that habit into a team before, that experience will show up quickly here.
