This isn't a traditional leasing consultant role. No property tours. No move-in paperwork. No resident calls about maintenance. The Leasing Hub Associate at Cortland sits in a centralized hub and works leads remotely, connecting prospective residents to the right communities across Cortland's portfolio before they ever set foot on a property.

The core of the job is volume and conversation. You're fielding and initiating 40 to 50 lead contacts per day through calls, emails, and texts sourced from RealPage. Your job is to qualify those prospects, understand what they actually need in an apartment home, and hand off warm, scheduled appointments to the on-site leasing teams. You're not closing leases yourself. You're filling the top of the funnel and making sure the on-site teams aren't working cold traffic.

That distinction matters. Strong candidates in this role tend to come from inside sales or high-volume customer service backgrounds where consistent outreach is the job, not the exception. If you're used to reactive service work and waiting for inbound volume, the daily outbound pace here will feel like a shift. You'll need a genuine command of Cortland's communities, pricing, and amenities because prospects will ask specific questions and vague answers lose appointments. Cortland uses OneSite for property management operations, and familiarity with L2L (Lead to Lease) is a plus. Bilingual fluency is welcome given the diverse renter base across Cortland's markets.
