Leasing Consultant

Prometheus Real Estate Group has been a fixture in Bay Area multifamily for decades, and the Spruce and Ironworks communities in Sunnyvale sit squarely in one of the most competitive rental markets in the country. The South Bay's tech-driven demand cycles mean traffic can swing fast, and the residents shopping these communities tend to be informed, discerning, and time-pressed. The person who succeeds here reads the room quickly and closes without pressure.

The role carries the title of Neighbor Ambassador internally, and that framing is deliberate. The work spans traditional leasing consultation, resident relationship management, and property administration. On a given day that might mean guiding a prospective resident through a tour and following up with a rental agreement, then pivoting to a market survey or updating advertising copy. Leasing-side metrics matter here: occupancy, traffic conversion, and keeping delinquency from creeping. But the administrative competency is equally real, and candidates who treat the paperwork side as secondary tend to struggle.

Weekend availability is required. Sunnyvale communities do their heaviest leasing traffic on Saturdays and Sundays, and the schedule reflects that. Regular days off fall during the week.

What Prometheus is Looking For

  • Genuine comfort in a customer-facing, sales-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills across a range of resident and prospect types
  • Ability to self-direct without waiting to be told what needs doing
  • Comfort handling administrative tasks: reports, rental agreements, advertising posts, market surveys
  • Weekend schedule availability
  • Prior property management experience is welcome but not required; Prometheus hires across industries

Compensation runs $25.00 to $28.75 per hour, with a $200 per-lease incentive on top of base pay. There's also a discretionary semi-annual bonus, weekend shift premium pay, and additional bonuses tied to referrals, lease-up performance, and training. The benefits package includes company-paid medical, vision, and dental coverage (dependents included), a 401(k) with employer matching, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, and tenure-based housing discounts. Twelve paid holidays include your birthday.

For someone entering property management, this type of role builds the foundation that most career paths in the industry require later. Leasing consultants who develop real administrative fluency alongside their sales skills move into assistant manager and property manager roles faster than those who stay narrowly focused on tours and closes. The exposure to both sides of the operation at a company with Prometheus's portfolio depth makes that trajectory more accessible than at smaller operators.
