Leasing Consultant

MG Properties has been acquiring, developing, and managing apartment communities across the Western U.S. for more than three decades. They're not a startup figuring things out. They have established systems, a clear culture, and a real track record of promoting people from within. This multi-site Leasing Consultant role in the Phoenix area sits inside that larger story.

The day-to-day here is genuinely people-facing. You're greeting prospective residents, qualifying applicants, walking units, and then staying involved through the lease signing and move-in coordination with maintenance. That last piece matters more than most postings let on. A rocky move-in can undo a great sales experience, so your relationship with the maintenance team isn't just collegial, it's functional. Residents remember how their first day went.

Beyond traffic and tours, you'll handle the administrative side of leasing: keeping rental files current, entering data accurately, and making sure the paperwork behind each new resident is organized and complete. Monthly admin tasks come with the territory too. It's detail work that doesn't always get glamorized in job descriptions, but it's what keeps occupancy numbers reliable and delinquency low.

The multi-site nature of this position means you'll build familiarity with more than one community. That exposure accelerates learning. You start to see how different properties operate, what drives traffic at each location, and how occupancy challenges vary by asset. For someone with ambitions beyond a single-site leasing role, that context is genuinely useful early in a career.

What separates strong candidates in a role like this is usually the balance between sales instincts and follow-through. Plenty of people can give a great tour. Fewer stay sharp on the file management, the lease prep details, and the resident communication after move-in. MG Properties is looking for someone who handles both ends of that spectrum consistently.

What you'll bring

  • At least one year of property management experience (preferred)
  • Solid sales and customer service skills, with professional communication habits
  • Comfort working in a team environment across multiple properties
  • Attention to detail in data entry and file organization
  • Ability to interact with residents calmly and professionally when handling complaints or maintenance concerns

Compensation includes monthly and quarterly bonuses, company profit sharing, a 401k with employer match, and a full benefits package covering medical, dental, and vision. Employees also receive rental discounts, paid holidays, personal days, and paid sick time. MG Properties participates in E-Verify, maintains a drug-free workplace, and requires a background check and drug screen prior to hire.
