Leasing Consultant (Hiring Event, Downtown Los Angeles, October 21st - 10A-4P)
BozzutoBozzuto is holding an in-person hiring event for Leasing Consultants in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 21st, from 10 AM to 4 PM PST. Candidates who attend can interview on the spot, and qualified applicants may receive offers within 48 hours. Bring an updated resume and dress business professional. A recruiter will confirm your spot and share the exact location after you complete a brief intake questionnaire through the application portal.
What You'll Actually Do
This role sits at the front line of occupancy. Your job is converting traffic into signed leases, which means the work is equal parts follow-up discipline and genuine hospitality. Every prospect who walks through the door or fills out a form online is a lead you're responsible for. You'll respond quickly, answer questions about the community and surrounding neighborhood with real knowledge, and conduct tours that feel personal rather than scripted. The goal of every tour is a lease, and the best consultants here know how to read a prospect and adapt the pitch accordingly.
Beyond the one-on-one conversations, you'll support the community's social media presence, creating content on platforms like Instagram and Facebook that builds awareness and keeps the property visible to people still in the search phase. On weekends, when foot traffic peaks and prospects are actively shopping, you'll be on-site. The schedule runs three weekends per month with two weekdays off in exchange.
One thing worth knowing about leasing in Downtown LA: the submarket is competitive, with a dense mix of Class A high-rise and mid-rise product and renters who have done their homework before they ever contact you. Strong performers here close on the strength of neighborhood knowledge and follow-through speed, not just personality. If you can speak to walkability, transit access, and local amenities as fluently as you can quote floor plans and concessions, you'll be ahead of most of the field.
What You Bring
- A track record of customer-facing work where closing or converting was part of the job
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, polished enough for both in-person tours and digital outreach
- Comfort creating and posting content on Instagram and Facebook for a professional audience
- Sales instincts, meaning you listen well, identify what a prospect needs, and guide the conversation toward a decision
- Proficiency with standard software, apps, and property management platforms
- A professional appearance and the confidence to represent the community from the moment someone walks in
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary runs $48,000 to $55,000, with additional bonus opportunities tied to performance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days of paid time off plus holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and tuition reimbursement. Bozzuto also maintains a range of employee resource groups for those who want connection beyond their immediate team.
For candidates interested in a longer career arc, leasing roles at well-operated properties like those in the Bozzuto portfolio are a direct path toward Assistant Manager and Property Manager positions. The skills you build here, reading traffic reports, understanding lease conversion rates, managing resident relationships, translate directly into the operational and financial responsibilities of site leadership.
