Leasing Consultant

Student housing leasing runs on communication skills, and this role uses them constantly. At The Vue in Fayetteville, The Scion Group is hiring a full-time Experience Team Member (ETM) to handle the leasing and resident engagement work that keeps a student community occupied and functioning.

The Skills This Role Draws On Daily

The ETM role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and front-line customer service. You'll give community tours, field objections from prospective residents and their parents, and relay patterns in those objections back to your management team. That feedback loop matters. If the same concern keeps coming up, leadership needs to hear it. You'll also contribute to local marketing efforts and support social media content, which means you have to understand who you're talking to: students who are choosing where to live, often for the first time, with parents frequently involved in the decision.

Property administration rounds out the day. Package management, office upkeep, maintenance request follow-up, and helping keep the clubhouse and amenities in presentable shape are all part of the job. None of it is glamorous, but it's what keeps a property running between the more visible leasing moments.

What the Schedule Actually Looks Like

Daytime business hours cover most of your schedule, but the role includes an after-hours on-call rotation. Lockout calls happen. You need to be reachable and available when they do. Turn periods (when hundreds of students move out and back in over a short window in late summer) require full availability and sustained energy. That's when the whole team earns it. If you've never worked a student housing turn, expect it to be fast, physical, and demanding. It's also the period that teaches you more about property operations than any other stretch of the year.

What Scion Is Looking For

  • A customer-first mindset, with real interpersonal range across a diverse resident population
  • Reliability and self-discipline, especially during high-traffic leasing seasons
  • Flexibility when priorities shift quickly, which they will in a collegiate environment
  • Availability during summers, holidays, and turn periods
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available)

Scion operates student communities across the country and has built a recognizable operational model in that niche. For someone early in a property management career, an ETM role at a professionally managed student housing property is solid footing. The leasing skills, resident communication habits, and operational exposure you build here carry directly into assistant manager or leasing manager roles, either within student housing or conventional multifamily.

The position comes with health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k matching, paid time off, paid parental leave, a discretionary annual bonus, and learning reimbursement. The work is located on-site at The Vue, 1111 W Stadium Dr, Fayetteville, AR.
