Leasing Consultant

A prospective resident walks in on a Saturday morning, unannounced, with a list of questions and a tight move-in timeline. How you handle that next thirty minutes determines whether they sign or keep shopping. That's the core of this role.

What the Job Actually Involves

Hawthorne Residential Partners is hiring a Leasing Consultant (internally called a Leasing and Live It Specialist) for their community at 10 Perimeter Drive in Atlanta. The job sits at the front line of leasing operations: greeting prospects, conducting tours, fielding inquiries by phone, email, and web, and moving leads through the funnel to a signed lease. You'll handle applications, verification paperwork, and move-in documentation with accuracy.

Beyond the leasing cycle, this role carries a resident-facing component. You'll help coordinate and attend community events, respond to resident concerns, and keep the leasing office and common areas presentable. You'll also assist with social media and local outreach to support property marketing, and you'll stay current on competitor properties and local market conditions.

The office runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. You'll get one weekday off each week to keep the schedule at 40 hours. Some evenings and weekends may come up around resident events.

Who Fits This Role

• One year of customer service, sales, or apartment leasing experience preferred (not required)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• CALP certification is a plus
• Comfortable communicating in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Able to handle objections and follow up consistently without being pushy
• Open to coaching and learning company-specific processes

Compensation includes an hourly base plus monthly leasing and renewal commissions, and leasing incentive programs.
