Leasing Consultant

Bozzuto manages properties with a level of attention that shows up in the details: the follow-up call that actually happens, the tour that feels personal rather than scripted, the resident who renews because the experience was worth it. That standard starts at the leasing level, which is where this role sits.

As a Leasing Consultant at Bozzuto's Raleigh community, your core job is converting interest into signed leases. That means working every lead in the pipeline, following up with prospects before they go cold, and conducting tours that feel like a genuine introduction to a home rather than a sales pitch. Occupancy doesn't move itself. Traffic matters, but what you do with that traffic matters more. A strong leasing consultant knows the difference between a prospect who needs one more touchpoint and one who's ready to sign today.

Beyond the one-on-one interactions, you'll carry some responsibility for the community's social media presence. Instagram and Facebook aren't an afterthought here. They're part of how prospects first encounter the property, and the expectation is that you can create content that's worth stopping for. Authenticity converts better than polish in that space.

The schedule includes three weekends per month, which is standard for leasing roles and reflects a simple reality: that's when most people are actually out looking. You'll get two days off during the week in exchange. If you've worked leasing before, this isn't a surprise. If you haven't, it's worth knowing upfront.

A real estate license is required or needs to be obtained within 90 days of hire where applicable. The salary range for this role is $46,000 to $48,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities available.

What separates a good leasing consultant from a great one at a company like Bozzuto is follow-through. Traffic-to-lease ratios are a real metric, and the consultants who move that number are the ones who treat every lead as active until it closes or goes cold, not just the ones who walked in for a tour. Raleigh's rental market has stayed competitive, which means prospects have options. The consultant who communicates clearly, responds fast, and makes the tour feel specific to what the prospect actually needs will outperform one who relies on the product alone to close.

What you bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with social media content creation, specifically Facebook and Instagram
  • Sales instincts and a customer-first approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency with software, apps, and property management platforms
  • Professional presentation and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Real estate license, or willingness to obtain one within 90 days

Bozzuto offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days of paid time off plus holidays, a 401k with company match, and tuition reimbursement. They've built a reputation for internal development, so this role has a clear path forward for someone who wants to grow into assistant management or beyond.
