Community Manager

High-rise condominium management sits at the intersection of hospitality and property operations. Residents in luxury towers expect hotel-quality service on a residential budget, and the front desk is where that expectation either gets met or falls apart. Rise Association Management Group, a Houston-based HOA management firm operating under EOS principles, is staffing that front desk at a luxury high-rise in the 77019 zip code (River Oaks area) and needs a concierge who understands what that actually means day to day.

What the Work Looks Like

The shift is Tuesday through Saturday, midnight to 8 AM, so this is an overnight role. That's worth knowing upfront. During those hours, you're the building's primary point of contact. You'll manage access control, monitor cameras, greet residents returning late from whatever River Oaks residents do at 2 AM, and handle anything that comes up before the day team arrives. Daily activity reports get completed on your watch. Incident reports, if needed, go through you. Mail and package processing happens on your shift. You'll also do walkthroughs to confirm the building is clean and secure.

Beyond the security and operations side, the concierge function here carries real lifestyle-services weight. Residents may ask for restaurant recommendations, transportation arrangements, dry cleaning coordination, or help navigating community amenities. This building aims for a 5-star residential experience, which means you're expected to know the surrounding area well enough to give genuinely useful guidance, not just Google something in front of a resident.

PowerPoint support for reports and presentations is listed as a responsibility, which points to light administrative work beyond the desk itself. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a real requirement here, not a formality.

Who Fits This Role

  • High school diploma required; a degree in hospitality management or business administration is preferred
  • At least one year of experience in luxury hospitality or property management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently through the night shift with minimal supervision
  • Physically able to lift 30 to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn building-specific technology systems

The overnight schedule self-selects for a particular kind of person. You stay calm when something goes sideways at 3 AM. You don't need a manager nearby to handle a resident complaint professionally. You're organized enough that the day team walks in to a complete DAR and a clean handoff, every time. That reliability is what separates strong candidates from adequate ones in this kind of role. Pay runs $15 to $17 per hour, full-time.
