Centralized leasing functions have become more common as operators look to consolidate traffic handling, reduce per-unit overhead, and keep occupancy steady across a portfolio without staffing every property at full strength. MG Properties, which has been acquiring, developing, and managing apartment communities across the Western U.S. for over three decades, runs a Central Leasing team out of an approved property location. This role sits inside that structure.
The core of this position is phone-based sales and lease administration. Prospects come in through the CRM and Elise AI, and your job is to screen those leads, qualify applicants thoroughly, and convert traffic into signed leases. Strong phone skills aren't a nice-to-have here; they're the primary tool. You'll maintain prospect lists, prepare lease files, process applications, and oversee lease signings for new residents. Monthly administrative tasks, move-in paperwork, and making sure files are organized and complete are also part of the rhythm.
Because this is a centralized role, you'll be handling inquiries across properties rather than walking one community. That means staying sharp on availability, qualification criteria, and fair housing compliance without a site manager standing nearby. You'll also route resident and vendor calls to the right departments, which requires knowing the operation well enough to triage quickly.
Candidates who come from on-site leasing backgrounds tend to ramp quickly here, since the fundamentals carry over. The adjustment is volume and pace rather than skill set. Centralized leasing roles also build a kind of portfolio-level awareness that's useful if you eventually move into a leasing manager, regional support, or training role.
Compensation runs $25 to $27 per hour depending on experience. The position is full-time, five days per week in office. MG Properties offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and company profit sharing.
