It's 9:15 on a Saturday morning. A prospective resident just walked in without an appointment, a current resident is waiting at the desk about a billing question, and you have two leasing applications to process before noon. That's a normal morning at Bexley at Anderson Mill.
Weinstein Properties is a family-owned company that has operated apartment communities for over 70 years, with a portfolio of more than 60 properties across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. The Cedar Park location is looking for an Assistant Property Manager who can hold their own in a full-contact leasing office environment. Starting pay is $23 per hour, with increases based on experience and quarterly bonuses built into the compensation structure. Rotating Saturdays are part of the schedule.
This role covers a wide range of operational tasks, and that range is real, not just recruiting language. On any given day you might be responding to internet leads, scheduling tours, walking a made-ready apartment to confirm it's punch-list clean, posting rent payments, and following up on delinquent balances. You'll process leasing applications, prepare lease paperwork, collect security deposits, and get signatures. When residents have questions about renewals, notices to vacate, transfers, or pet addendums, you're one of the first points of contact. You'll coordinate with maintenance on work orders, follow up with residents on open requests, and help process move-out security deposit dispositions. Resident events are also part of the job, including planning and hosting. You'll support the Property Manager and, at times, help train and guide others on the team.
Prior property management experience is a plus, but Weinstein will train the right person who comes from a customer service, sales, or hospitality background. The expectation is that you learn fast and stay organized while the work keeps moving around you.
One honest note on this role: the combination of leasing, resident services, administrative work, and maintenance coordination means the job rarely lets you settle into one task for long. If you thrive when the day goes sideways, that's a genuine advantage here. If you need a predictable routine to do your best work, this probably isn't the right fit.
Weinstein has a track record of promoting from within. Many people in leadership roles at the company started in leasing or assistant manager positions. The skills you build here, including delinquency follow-up, make-ready coordination, and lease administration, transfer directly to a Property Manager role or broader multi-site responsibilities down the road.
Weinstein Properties is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
