Lincoln Property Company runs a substantial commercial portfolio, and this Assistant Property Manager role sits at the intersection of tenant relations, financial reporting, and day-to-day operations. The skills that get used hardest here are financial literacy, lease administration, and vendor management. If you're comfortable reading a management agreement, understanding CAM reconciliation methodology, and tracking invoice approvals against authorization limits, this role will feel like natural territory.
A meaningful portion of this role lives in the numbers. You'll support monthly reporting packages and budget deliverables, which means you need to understand what you're looking at: operating expenses, variance explanations, and the kind of basic financial analysis that turns raw data into a coherent picture for a client. CAM and OpEx reconciliations require close coordination with the accounting team, and the accuracy of that work has direct implications for tenant billing and client trust. Lease administration runs parallel to this: setup, amendments, move-in and move-out documentation, and keeping the applicable systems current. Commercial leases carry real financial weight, and keeping lease data clean is not a back-office afterthought.
On the operational side, you'll coordinate tenant needs with building staff and vendors, making sure response times and outcomes stay within the bounds of policy and lease obligations. Vendor invoice review, procurement support, and participation in bidding processes round out the daily workload. You'll also participate in property inspections and walk-throughs alongside the Property Manager and tenant improvement teams, so comfort on a commercial property floor plate is part of the job. Emergency response planning and drill participation are also in scope.
This is an in-office, Dallas-based role with regular travel to assigned properties. Remote work isn't available.
The candidates who stand out in commercial APM roles typically know how to read a lease abstract and connect what it says to what gets billed. CAM rec season separates people who understand cost pools and gross-up provisions from those who are just entering data. Coming in with that baseline puts you ahead of the curve on Lincoln's reporting cycle.
