Assistant Property Manager
Weinstein PropertiesGeorgetown, TX has grown fast enough that lease-up and stabilized communities alike are competing hard for qualified renters. Bexley Wolf Ranch sits inside that market, and Weinstein Properties needs someone on-site who can handle both the leasing floor and the operational side of daily community management. That's the Assistant Property Manager role in a nutshell.
Weinstein is a family-owned operator with 70-plus years and more than 60 communities across the Southeast and Texas. That tenure shows up in how they run properties: hands-on, training-focused, and with real promotion paths for people who perform. A lot of operators say that. Weinstein has the internal track record to back it up.
What the Day Actually Looks Like
The role covers a wide band of on-site operations. You'll work internet leads and phone inquiries, schedule tours, process applications, and take leases from approval through signing. That's the leasing half. The other half is resident services: renewals, notices to vacate, pet addenda, transfers, account questions, and move-out processing including security deposit dispositions. You'll post rent, follow up on balances owed, and coordinate with maintenance on make-readies and work orders. Punch list walks after turns are part of the job. So is planning and hosting resident events, which occasionally means evenings or rotating Saturdays. This is an on-your-feet role. The desk is where you start and end tasks, not where you spend the day.
Starting pay is $23 per hour with increases based on experience, quarterly bonuses, a rent discount, 401k with company match, and standard health benefits. Birthday time off is a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that signals a culture paying attention.
Who Fits This Role Well
Weinstein will train someone who comes from hospitality, retail management, or sales rather than property management directly. The non-negotiables are communication skills, composure under pressure, and the ability to manage shifting priorities without losing track of the details. Delinquency follow-up, lease paperwork accuracy, and security deposit dispositions all punish people who get sloppy when things get busy.
- Leasing, hospitality, or customer service background with some supervisory exposure
- Comfortable having direct conversations with residents about balances, lease terms, or disputes
- Organized enough to manage active leads, renewals, and work order follow-up simultaneously
- Available for rotating Saturdays and occasional evenings for resident programming
- Property management software experience is a plus, not a requirement
The career path here is worth noting. Assistant Property Manager is typically where property management careers either take hold or stall. The people who grow out of this role and into property manager or multi-site positions are the ones who treat the full job seriously, not just the leasing traffic. Renewals, delinquency, turn coordination, resident retention: those skills travel with you regardless of what platform or ownership group you end up working for later.
