What You'll Actually Do

You'll own that process alongside the broader upkeep of the building: mechanical systems, grounds, snow removal, cleanliness, and the safety standards that keep the property operating cleanly under applicable codes and OSHA requirements.

The on-call rotation and weekend availability are real commitments. Cambridge properties at this tier carry high resident expectations, and after-hours responsiveness is part of the job, not the exception.

What You Bring

• 5 or more years in the trades, facilities, or residential building maintenance
• Hands-on proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliance repair
• EPA certification required; HVAC and NAPE certifications strongly preferred
• Familiarity with complex mechanical systems: central plant, boilers, chillers, split systems
• Basic carpentry, drywall, and paint skills for make-ready and unit turns
• Working knowledge of OSHA, MSDS, and risk management standards
• Supervisory experience or a clear aptitude for leading a small team
• Comfort with technology platforms, work order systems, and Microsoft Office basics
• Physical capacity to frequently handle 25 to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in variable weather
