Assistant Community Manager - Linz Luxury - Katy, TX
Davis DevelopmentLinz Luxury in Katy, TX sits in one of the Houston metro's fastest-growing corridors, and Davis Development is looking for an Assistant Community Manager who can handle both the leasing floor and the back-office metrics that keep a luxury asset performing.
Davis Development has operated as a privately owned developer and fee-management company for more than 25 years, and their model is worth understanding before you apply. On-site teams are treated as owner-operators. That means the Assistant Manager here carries real operational weight: occupancy targets, delinquency management, Yardi accuracy, and the resident experience all run through this role. If you've worked at a company where decisions had to travel up three layers of management before anything happened, this will feel different. Decisions get made at the property level, and accountability follows.
On the leasing side, you'll guide prospects through tours, walk them through qualifications, and carry lease files from application through execution. Renewals are part of the picture too, and keeping documentation clean and compliant is a daily discipline. On the operations side, you'll track rents, manage delinquency, and handle non-payment legal steps when it gets to that point. Community appearance matters at a luxury asset, so you'll conduct walkthroughs and stay on top of work order completion to make sure the physical product matches the brand promise.
Yardi experience is genuinely useful here. Reporting accuracy and record integrity are things Davis takes seriously, and candidates who already think in terms of T-12 pulls and ledger hygiene will adapt quickly.
What separates strong candidates in this specific role: lease-up experience at luxury communities is the clearest differentiator. Running traffic-to-lease ratios, adjusting concessions to hit occupancy goals, and understanding how a new community builds its reputation in the first 90 days of opening are skills that don't transfer from Class C value-add work. If you've done a lease-up, say so prominently.
Here's what Davis is looking for:
- At least one year of Assistant Property Manager experience
- Lease-up experience in luxury or Class A communities (preferred)
- Strong sales, marketing, and customer service skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to work across teams and seniority levels without friction
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Calm, professional demeanor when resident issues escalate
Benefits include health coverage starting the first of the month after 30 days, a 401(k) with a 4% employer match that vests immediately, company-paid life insurance at one times base salary, paid time off with a carryover provision, training and development resources, and a company apparel store allowance.
Davis Development does not accept inquiries from third-party recruiters.
