$1,500 Sign-On Bonus - Multisite Maintenance Supervisor
BAM CompaniesMultisite maintenance supervisor roles tend to attract two kinds of candidates: those who are great with a wrench but struggle to manage people, and those who can manage people but lose credibility the moment something mechanical goes wrong. BAM Companies is looking for someone who genuinely does both.
The Scope of the Role
This is a multisite position, which means you're moving between properties rather than planting yourself in one building. BAM (founded in 2010, Indianapolis-based) manages a portfolio that keeps growing, and this supervisor role sits at the operational center of keeping that portfolio in condition. You'll oversee a maintenance team across sites, handling the full range of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep. Preventative maintenance scheduling is a real part of the job here, not just a line in a job posting. You'll also manage supply purchasing and keep operations running within budget, so some cost awareness matters.
Day-to-day, expect to be hands-on. On a typical morning you might walk a make-ready punch list at one property, handle a service request escalation at another, and circle back to coach a technician on something they missed during a PM inspection. The multisite piece adds real complexity to time management, so if you need a predictable, single-location routine, this probably isn't your role.
What Qualifies You
- Two to three years of property maintenance experience, with supervisory experience preferred
- EPA Type II or Universal certification (required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, you'll be coordinating across teams and sites regularly
- Genuine mechanical aptitude across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
The candidates who tend to stand out in multisite supervisor roles are the ones who've already built a habit of documentation. Tracking completed PMs, logging vendor work, keeping records clean across multiple properties. It sounds administrative, but it's what separates a supervisor from a senior tech.
Compensation and Culture
Pay runs $25 to $30 per hour depending on experience and background. The role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus and a rent discount if you choose to live at a BAM property. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 14.5 paid holidays and PTO that kicks in after 90 days.
BAM describes its culture as family-oriented, and by most accounts they mean it in a practical sense: employee recognition programs, investment in professional development, and a team identity they take seriously. For a maintenance supervisor with real skills who wants room to grow into a regional or director-level role, that internal investment is worth paying attention to.
