What You'll Actually Do

Bexley at Tech Ridge is a 342-unit community in North Austin, and you'll run it. That means owning the full operational picture: leasing performance, resident experience, property appearance, delinquency management, and the administrative work that keeps everything moving. You'll partner closely with the Maintenance Supervisor on project coordination and community standards, and you'll serve as the escalation point when resident concerns need a steady hand and a real answer. Your team of seven looks to you for direction, coaching, and accountability. This is a hands-on role with a high volume of incoming requests from both residents and corporate, so your ability to triage, delegate, and follow through matters every single day.

Weinstein Properties operates with a high-touch management style. Corporate teams stay closely involved, which means you'll have genuine support and clear processes behind you. That's a real asset if you're someone who performs well within structure and appreciates direct communication from leadership. It also means expectations are high and visible. If you prefer to operate independently with minimal oversight, this probably isn't the right fit.

What You Bring

  • Prior property management experience, with Class A multifamily background preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and develop an on-site team, including delegation and mentorship
  • Comfort managing competing priorities: leasing, operations, resident relations, and reporting all run simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and a sense of urgency that comes naturally, not just when someone's watching
  • A solutions-focused mindset. Escalations land on your desk because you're expected to resolve them, not just pass them along

Where This Role Fits in a PM Career

Managing a 342-unit Class A community with a team of seven is genuinely substantial experience. You're building fluency in all the metrics that matter at the portfolio level: occupancy trends, NOI contribution, traffic conversion, renewal rates, and capex coordination. Property Managers who perform well at this scale typically move into Regional Manager or District Manager roles, and the operational discipline you develop working under a structured, corporate-supported model translates directly into managing multiple assets or stepping into a portfolio oversight position.

Austin's multifamily market has been through significant lease-up activity and rent correction over the past few years, with new supply continuing to test occupancy and concessions strategies across the metro. Managing a stabilized asset in that environment, and keeping performance metrics sharp while the broader market fluctuates, is exactly the kind of experience that compounds over time. Weinstein's 70-year track record as a family-owned operator also means you're learning from an organization that has navigated multiple market cycles, which carries real value when you're eventually making decisions at a higher level.
