Leasing Consultant

Weekend leasing exists because prospects don't stop looking on Fridays. For a luxury community like Paradiso in Bonita Springs, Saturday and Sunday are often the highest-traffic days of the week. Davis Development is filling this part-time role specifically to make sure those visits get the same quality attention as any weekday tour.

Bonita Springs sits in one of Florida's more competitive Southwest markets, where Class A garden-style and mid-rise communities compete hard on finishes, amenities, and the leasing experience itself. A polished, knowledgeable consultant on weekends isn't a nice-to-have. It's part of keeping occupancy where it needs to be.

What the Role Actually Involves

This is a leasing-focused position. You'll greet and qualify prospects, walk them through models and made-ready units, and carry a working knowledge of what the local sub-market is doing so you can speak to it honestly when a prospect asks. Each unit you show should be checked before the tour. If a model isn't up to standard, you flag it, you don't just show it and hope they don't notice.

You'll process lease applications from start to finish: verifications, approvals, notifications. You'll also help the Community Manager and Assistant Manager with market surveys and reporting, and you'll do a daily property walk to catch anything that doesn't meet community standards. The physical inspection piece matters here. At a luxury property, small things (a dirty entry, a burned-out light in a hallway, a gate that sticks) affect how prospects perceive the community.

Some outreach marketing is part of the job as well, assigned by the Community Manager. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for that reason.

What Davis Development Is Looking For

  • At least one year of sales or customer-facing experience (property management or leasing background preferred but not required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong written and verbal communication across all channels, including email and text
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A detail-oriented approach and the ability to work without constant supervision on weekends
  • Valid driver's license and daily access to transportation

One honest note about this role: weekend-only leasing positions reward people who are self-directing. The Community Manager may not be on site every hour you're there. You'll need to run a tour, handle a follow-up, pull a report, and still catch a punch list item, without someone queuing up your next task. That self-starter quality matters more here than it would in a full-time position with a full team around you.

Davis Development is a privately owned developer and operator with over 25 years in the luxury multifamily space. Their management is in-house and they describe their on-site teams as operating with an owner-operator mindset. For a part-time role, the benefits package is notable: health, dental, vision, a 401(k) with a 4% employer match that vests immediately, company-paid life insurance, PTO with carryover, and access to training and career development. Those terms are worth reading carefully before assuming "part-time" means bare-bones.
