Part-Time Exterior Porter

It's 7 a.m. on a Saturday. An event wrapped up the night before, and the first tenants and visitors are already moving through the lobby. Your job is to make sure they don't see a trace of what happened the evening before.

Comstock is hiring a part-time Exterior Porter for its ParkX operations in Herndon, VA. This role sits at the front line of the property experience. You're responsible for the condition of common areas across assigned sites: sidewalks, lobbies, restrooms, and public-facing spaces that tenants and guests interact with every day. That means pressure washing, window cleaning, trash removal, and routine janitorial tasks completed on schedule and to standard.

What the Work Actually Involves

You'll report to your assigned location in uniform before your shift starts, follow established cleaning checklists, and document anything that needs management attention. Safety compliance is part of the job, not an afterthought. That includes proper chemical handling, keeping storage areas organized and hazard-free, and flagging maintenance issues or damage when you spot them.

Event support is a real part of this role. Setup and breakdown for events or public gatherings will come up, and availability for weekends and after-hours during peak periods is expected. When a coworker is out, you may be called on to cover. The Senior Operations Manager, Janitorial, directs day-to-day priorities, and you'll attend team meetings that affect janitorial operations.
