Maintenance Technician- Sonoran

The Maintenance Technician role at Sonoran Apartments in Phoenix is a hands-on position where the day-to-day work directly affects occupancy, resident satisfaction, and the condition of the asset.

Sonoran is a 200-plus unit community, which means the volume of service requests, turns, and preventive tasks is real. On any given week you might be pulling an a/c capacitor in the morning, patching and painting a unit in make-ready, clearing a service ticket on a running toilet, and handling grounds before residents get home from work. Appliance repairs, common area upkeep, and on-call emergency response are all part of the rotation. The technician who thrives here moves efficiently between trades and doesn't need to be told twice what a punch list looks like.

Turn quality matters here. A clean, well-executed make-ready keeps days vacant low and protects NOI. A technician who can move a unit through turn quickly without skipping steps is genuinely valuable to the property's performance, not just to the maintenance team.

What MG Properties is looking for:

• At least two years of apartment maintenance experience, preferably on a property of 200 units or more
• Working knowledge across trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair
• Availability for on-call rotation and emergency response
• Reliable transportation
• Customer-facing communication skills and the ability to work within a team structure
