Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified

Maintenance technicians at apartment communities wear a lot of hats. On any given day you're pulling work orders, troubleshooting a tricky HVAC unit, helping knock out a turn, and fielding a call from a resident who's convinced their garbage disposal is a plumbing emergency. At Bexley at Anderson Mill, Weinstein Properties is hiring an EPA-certified Maintenance Technician to handle exactly that kind of work, at a well-maintained community with a full-time maintenance team behind you.

What the Work Looks Like

The core of this role is work orders: repairs in occupied units covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry. You'll also support apartment turns and make-readies, which means punching through lists efficiently so units are rent-ready on schedule. Beyond the apartments themselves, you'll help keep the grounds, amenities, and pool areas in good shape. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with participation in a rotating emergency on-call rotation. On-call weeks pay an additional $150 regardless of whether calls come in, plus $150 extra for holiday coverage.

The starting rate is $22/hour and can go higher depending on experience. There's also a quarterly bonus tied to property and team performance, up to $980. What Weinstein Expects

• At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA Type II or Universal certification (required, not preferred)
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills
• Comfort with work order systems and basic computer use
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors and outdoors year-round
• Reliable transportation and a valid background check

The customer service piece matters here. Residents notice how technicians communicate, not just whether the repair was done right. A strong candidate knows how to leave a unit better than they found it and close out a work order without a callback.
