Maintenance Technician

Bozzuto has built a reputation across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast for managing well-maintained, amenity-rich communities where resident experience is taken seriously at every level. Their Boca Raton property reflects that same standard, and they're bringing on a Maintenance Technician to help keep it there.

The day-to-day work covers the full range of residential maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair, along with the make-ready work that gets vacant units turned and ready for new residents. Preventative maintenance, grounds upkeep, and keeping the property clean and safe round out the regular scope. This isn't a role where you clock in and wait for tickets to come in. Strong technicians here stay ahead of issues rather than just reacting to them.

South Florida's climate puts real demands on HVAC systems, and that shows up in the workload. Units run their air conditioning hard for most of the year, which means refrigerant issues, coil cleanings, and system failures show up more frequently than in cooler markets. Bozzuto will sponsor your EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification after your first year, which is a meaningful credential in this region and one that opens doors to more senior maintenance roles over time.

On-call rotation is part of the job, including evenings and weekends. That's standard for residential maintenance and worth knowing upfront. You'll need your own reliable transportation to respond when emergencies come in after hours.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience in building or residential maintenance, or a trade education background
  • Beginner to intermediate skill level across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Ability to lift and move between 25 and 50 pounds regularly as part of daily work
  • Comfort with basic computer use, including maintenance software and mobile apps for service tickets
  • Strong communication skills and a professional presentation when interacting with residents
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies

The salary range for this role sits at $49,000 to $50,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities available. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days of paid time off plus holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and tuition reimbursement. Bozzuto also offers a range of employee resource groups and invests in career development at multiple levels.

What separates a strong candidate here from an average one isn't just technical range. It's the combination of solid repair skills and genuine comfort talking with residents. In a Bozzuto community, the maintenance team is visible, accountable, and often the face residents interact with most. Technicians who communicate well, follow through on service tickets, and treat residents with respect tend to move up quickly into lead or supervisor roles within the portfolio.
