Maintenance Supervisor (Nantucket Cove)

Maintenance operations at a multifamily property don't fail because of one catastrophic event. They fail from accumulated deferred work, skipped PMs, and a team without clear direction. BAM Companies is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor at Nantucket Cove in Champaign, IL to make sure that doesn't happen on their watch.

This is a multisite role, which means your day isn't contained to one property. You're moving between communities, triaging work orders, checking on your team's output, and making sure preventative maintenance schedules are actually being followed rather than just documented. The mechanical side covers the full range: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems. The leadership side is just as real. You're training technicians, giving feedback, and building a team that can execute without needing you to stand over every task.

What the Role Covers

• Lead and train maintenance staff across properties in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep
• Oversee preventative maintenance scheduling and ensure inspections happen on a consistent cycle
• Manage supply purchasing and keep maintenance operations within budget
• Hold properties to BAM's brand standards for curb appeal, common areas, and overall condition
• Coach your team with hands-on support, structured feedback, and ongoing development

Qualifications BAM Is Looking For

• 2 to 3 years of property maintenance experience; supervisory background is a plus
• EPA Type 2 or Universal Certification required
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (multisite coverage makes this non-negotiable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay ranges from $26 to $29 per hour depending on experience, education, and other factors. BAM offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 14.5 paid holidays and PTO that kicks in after 90 days. Rent discounts at BAM properties are also part of the package.
