Leasing Professional (Cottonwood Creek/Elowyn)
RedPeakLeasing at a Denver apartment community puts you at the front of every interaction a prospective resident has with the property. RedPeak is an owner-operator with a focused Denver portfolio, and this role covers two of their communities: Cottonwood Creek in Littleton and Elowyn Townhomes nearby. You'll split your time between both locations, which gives you exposure to two distinct product types under one operator.
What the Job Actually Involves
The core of this role is lead conversion. You'll handle inbound calls, online inquiries, and walk-in traffic, then move prospects through tours, applications, and lease signing. The goal is to maintain occupancy at 95% or better, which means close rates matter. You'll track everything in Yardi, keep prospect records current, and complete lease paperwork accurately from reservation through move-in.
Before a new resident moves in, you'll walk the unit against the make-ready punch list, prep keys, coordinate lock changes, and confirm the apartment is ready. That attention to detail at move-in directly shapes first impressions and renewal likelihood down the road.
Lead management is the heaviest part of the job (roughly a third of your focus). You'll respond to inquiries within required timeframes, qualify prospects based on their needs and urgency, and follow up consistently after showings. You'll also compile comp surveys weekly and shop competing properties twice a year, so you stay sharp on what the local rental market is doing.
Resident retention is part of the role too. Securing renewals, resolving service concerns, and building a sense of community aren't afterthoughts here. RedPeak's stated philosophy treats residents like neighbors, and that shows up in the day-to-day expectations for this position.
Who Fits This Role
- Prior leasing or sales experience with a measurable track record
- Comfortable with phone sales and email follow-up, not just in-person tours
- Organized enough to manage lease paperwork, Yardi data entry, and multiple lead pipelines at once
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for traveling between both sites)
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
The candidates who do well in roles like this aren't just personable. They treat follow-up as a discipline. A lot of leasing professionals are strong on the tour but inconsistent in the days after. Consistent follow-through from first contact to signed lease is what separates average performers from those who hit or exceed their monthly goals.
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm. Pay runs $21 to $23 per hour plus bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, employer-paid short-term disability, and a 401(k).
