Leasing is a sales role, but in multifamily it carries more weight than a typical sales job. You're not just closing a unit. You're the first face a prospective resident connects with, and the impression you leave shapes whether they sign, renew, or leave a three-star review. At a busy Austin community like Riata, that dynamic plays out dozens of times a week.
Olympus Property, a three-time National Apartment Association Top Employer (2023, 2024, 2025), is hiring a full-time Leasing Consultant for Riata in Austin. You'll handle the full leasing cycle: greeting walk-ins, conducting tours, explaining floor plan differences and unit options, preparing lease paperwork, and getting new residents set up before move-in. You'll also enter prospect and resident data into the property management system, respond to resident concerns, and help plan and run resident events.
Beyond the desk, this role includes outreach work. That means visiting locators and nearby businesses to generate traffic and build awareness of the property. If you've done lease-up or outreach before, you know how much those local relationships matter when a prospect is weighing two similar communities.
Schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday with rotating hours (generally 9 AM to 6 PM), plus required weekend availability. Monthly after-hours resident events are part of the job. Plan for that going in.
Pay runs $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience and location factors, plus monthly leasing commissions and resident renewal bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer matching, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, an apartment rental allowance, and a sabbatical program.
What separates strong candidates here isn't just closing ability. Austin's rental market is competitive, and prospects often tour multiple properties the same day. The consultants who consistently hit their numbers are the ones who know the product cold, can speak to the neighborhood honestly, and follow up quickly. If your follow-up process is weak or you rely on the property to sell itself, you'll feel it in your commission check.
