Leasing Consultant

Bigos Management has held a Top Workplace ranking from the Star Tribune twelve times, which says something about how they run their properties. This multi-site leasing role covers Central Park West and The Flats at West End in Saint Louis Park, a combined 318-unit footprint where you'll handle the full leasing cycle across two locations.

What the Work Actually Looks Like

Your day centers on converting traffic into signed leases. You'll take inbound calls, schedule tours, walk prospects through units that fit their needs, and follow up with anyone who left without deciding. When a new resident moves in, you handle the inspection and walk them through lease terms and community rules. When someone moves out, you do that inspection too. Renewals are part of the job as well, so you're not just chasing new leases.

Between prospect interactions, you'll keep vacant units in show-ready condition through light cleaning and quick punch list checks. You'll also track what the competition is doing using publicly available sources, which helps you pitch Bigos properties with confidence.

This is a Tuesday through Saturday schedule: Tuesday through Thursday run 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years in customer service or sales
  • Prior leasing experience preferred but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills: email, web applications
  • No active real estate license (company requirement for this role)
  • Ability to walk the property, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds

Pay and Upside

The base hourly range runs $17.00 to $22.00. On top of that, you're eligible for leasing commissions and renewal bonuses, which can meaningfully raise your total take-home depending on how you perform. Benefits start the first of the month after hire and include health coverage with an HSA employer contribution, 401(k) with employer match, ten paid holidays (no waiting period), PTO with rollover, and a rent discount. Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and an Employee Assistance Program are all company-paid.

For candidates thinking about where this role leads: leasing consultants who develop strong closing habits and resident retention instincts often move into assistant manager positions, where the work shifts toward operations, delinquency management, and financial reporting. Bigos's size gives you exposure to multiple property types and management practices, which accelerates that path if you want it.
