A prospect walks in on a Saturday morning, third community they've toured this week, arms crossed. Your job is to turn that skepticism into a signed lease before the weekend's over.
Weinstein Properties is hiring a Leasing Consultant for Bexley Round Rock in Round Rock, TX. Weinstein is a family-owned company, now 70+ years in, with over 60 apartment communities across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. They run their own properties, which means decisions get made close to the ground and training is taken seriously.
You're the first contact most prospective residents have with the community. That means handling inbound inquiries, conducting tours, following up on leads, and walking prospects through the application process. You'll also maintain relationships with current residents, handle day-to-day administrative tasks at the leasing office, and help inspect units as part of the make-ready and move-in process. Expect to be on your feet most of the day, not at a desk.
Schedule is weekdays 9 to 6, Saturdays 9 to 5 on a rotating basis with the team, Sundays off. Starting pay is $20/hour, increasing with experience, plus quarterly bonuses. Occasional availability outside standard hours may be needed for resident events or weather-related situations.
Prior leasing experience is not required. Weinstein trains from scratch and says so directly. What they're screening for instead:
If you've worked retail, hospitality, or any customer-facing role where you had to close a sale or resolve a complaint under pressure, that background translates well here.
One honest note on the role: leasing is sales. Occupancy goals are real, and your results will be visible. The consultants who advance at Weinstein aren't just personable, they follow up consistently, track their traffic, and take ownership of their conversion numbers. Many of Weinstein's current property managers and regional staff started in leasing, so the path upward exists if you're willing to perform.
