Santa Ana is a competitive submarket, and a 288-unit community doesn't run on autopilot. Property Management Associates is looking for a leasing consultant who can do more than hand out floor plan brochures: someone who closes, follows up, and understands that traffic converts when the experience is right from the first phone call through the lease signing.
PMA has been operating in the greater Los Angeles area for over 30 years, managing both residential and commercial assets across Southern California. They run a full-service shop, which means the infrastructure is there. This is an in-office, on-site role. One weekend day is part of the schedule.
The day-to-day looks like this: you're touring prospects, walking the community, handling applications, and pushing leases through to execution. You're also supporting marketing efforts, which in this market means social media and online platforms matter as much as signage. Yardi Voyager experience is a plus, and if you've already got time logged in Voyager, say so clearly on your resume.
Compensation runs $20 to $23 per hour, with lease commissions on top: $100 per new lease, $50 per renewal. For a 288-unit property with normal turnover, that commission structure adds up. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance with an employer contribution, 401(k) after one year, short- and long-term disability, and a PTO package covering vacation, holidays, and sick time.
What separates a good leasing consultant from a forgettable one at a property this size is follow-through. Plenty of people can give a decent tour. Fewer actually track their leads, re-engage cold prospects, and close the ones who "need to think about it." If your leasing history shows consistent occupancy contribution rather than just activity, that's the story worth telling here.
