Leasing Manager
Waypoint Management ServicesVero Beach sits in a stretch of Florida's Treasure Coast that draws a genuinely mixed renter profile: retirees, seasonal residents, young professionals, and working families all share the same leasing office waiting room. That variety shapes what this role actually demands day to day. A Leasing Manager here can't run a single script. You read the room, adjust your approach, and still close.
Waypoint Management Services is hiring for that position now. The core of the job is converting prospect interest into signed leases, then supporting those residents through move-in and into their tenancy. That sounds straightforward, but the full cycle is genuinely involved. You're fielding inquiries, running tours, preparing lease files, calculating prorations, and managing applicant qualification, all while keeping the leasing office and model units presentable and tour-ready. Renewals and waitlist management fall into the mix too, because occupancy goals don't pause between new lease cycles.
The follow-up piece deserves honest attention. Prospects who go quiet don't always stay that way, and the difference between a missed lease and a signed one is often one well-timed call or email. If you enjoy that part of sales, not just the tour but the patient, persistent follow-through, this role fits naturally. If you've come from hospitality or retail sales and you're moving into multifamily for the first time, that background translates well here. The human dynamics of leasing aren't far removed from managing guest experience or closing a service sale.
Spanish language skills are preferred, which reflects the community's demographics and gives the right candidate a real edge in building trust with prospective residents who may feel more comfortable in their first language. Yardi and CRM familiarity will help you get up to speed faster, though neither is a hard requirement. Fair Housing knowledge is expected at some level of fluency before you step into the role.
Weekend availability is part of the schedule rotation. That's consistent with almost every leasing role, but it's worth stating plainly: Saturday and Sunday are often the highest-traffic days, and a leasing manager who shows up present and energized on those days carries a lot of weight for the team.

- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations
- Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
- Experience with Yardi or comparable property management software, a plus
