Britton Woods is a 352-unit community in Dublin, Ohio, and this role puts you at the front door. You're the first voice a prospect hears on the phone, the first face they see on a tour, and the person responsible for converting that traffic into signed leases. That's the core of it. You'll manage guest cards, prep lease documents, track follow-ups in the CRM, and make sure every touchpoint with a prospect or current resident reflects well on the property.
Beyond the leasing desk, you'll do routine unit and property inspections to confirm everything is show-ready. If something's off, you handle what you can on the spot and loop in maintenance for the rest. You'll also document service requests from residents, participate in after-hours community events on occasion, and support outreach efforts that keep the property visible in the local market. Dublin is a competitive submarket with strong employment drivers and consistent renter demand, so knowing your comps and being able to speak to them during a tour matters more than some consultants expect.
Yardi Voyager and Rent Café are the tools of record here. If you've worked in those systems before, you'll hit the ground faster. If not, you'll need to get comfortable with them quickly because accurate data entry isn't optional in leasing.
Ackermann Group has been operating in the Midwest since 1938, which in real estate development terms is a long runway. They manage their own communities rather than operating as a third-party shop, which means the culture and standards you work within are set by the same organization that owns the asset. That tends to create more consistency than fee management environments, though it also means expectations around brand presentation are taken seriously.
The role carries commission potential on both new leases and renewals, which is worth paying attention to. Renewals are often where consultants leave money on the table because they focus entirely on new traffic. The consultants who do well in roles like this treat their current resident base as part of their pipeline, not just their new prospects. Compensation is hourly plus that commission structure, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, PTO, and an employee rent discount across Ackermann communities.
