Leasing Consultant- Andante Apartments
MG PropertiesLeasing at a stabilized apartment community in Phoenix means your day runs on traffic conversion. Every prospect who walks through the door is a chance to move the needle on occupancy, and every signed lease is a measurable win. At Andante Apartments, MG Properties is looking for a Leasing Consultant who can turn that daily grind into consistent results.
What the Work Actually Looks Like
You're the first person a prospective resident meets, so first impressions carry real weight. You'll qualify applicants, show units, and guide prospects from initial inquiry through lease execution. That means knowing your floor plans cold, understanding concessions when they apply, and following up consistently enough that traffic actually converts.
Beyond the sales cycle, you'll coordinate move-in readiness with the maintenance team, making sure units are punched and ready before a new resident ever picks up keys. You'll maintain rental files, enter data accurately into the property management system, and help keep monthly administrative tasks on track. Resident interaction continues after move-in too. Rent collection, maintenance communication, and complaint resolution all land on your desk regularly.
What MG Properties Brings
MG Properties has spent over 30 years acquiring, developing, and managing apartment communities across the Western U.S. They're a growth-oriented company that promotes from within, which matters when you're thinking about where a leasing role actually takes you. Leasing Consultant is the traditional entry point into property management operations. Strong performers here typically move into Senior Leasing, Assistant Manager, and eventually Property Manager roles, where NOI accountability and full-site operations become the focus.
Compensation includes monthly and quarterly bonuses tied to performance, profit sharing, a 401(k) with employer match, and a full benefits package covering medical, dental, and vision. Paid time off includes 10 vacation days, 10 paid holidays, 2 personal days, and 40 hours of sick time annually. Rental discounts are also part of the package.
Who Fits This Role
- At least one year of property management or leasing experience (preferred)
- Genuine sales ability, not just customer service instincts
- Detail orientation for file accuracy and lease documentation
- Professional communication with prospects, residents, and teammates
- Comfort working in a team environment at a company that tracks performance
Phoenix's rental market moves fast. Properties competing for the same renter pool live and die on follow-up speed and rapport. The candidates who outperform here combine real sales discipline with the kind of interpersonal consistency that keeps residents renewing year after year.
