Leasing Consultant

Student housing operates on a calendar most multifamily professionals never deal with: a compressed summer turn, a lease-up cycle tied to academic enrollment, and residents who range from first-time renters to graduating seniors navigating their first real lease. Northpoint Crossing in College Station puts you squarely in that world, on a property serving Texas A&M students in one of the more competitive student housing markets in the state.

The Scion Group calls this role an Experience Team Member, and the title is accurate. The job touches leasing, marketing, resident engagement, and property administration in a single position. On a given day, you might be touring a prospective resident and their parents in the morning, fielding a maintenance follow-up, logging packages, and helping coordinate a resident event by afternoon. The after-hours on-call rotation is real, and so is the demand around Turn. College Station's student housing market compresses move-out and move-in into a narrow window in late summer, and being available and effective during that period matters.

What Scion is looking for is someone who handles a shifting workload without losing the customer-facing polish that keeps traffic converting. That means solid communication with a diverse population, including international students, parents, and guarantors, and the flexibility to shift priorities when the office gets busy. Social media and local marketing support are part of the role too, so comfort with those platforms is a genuine asset rather than an afterthought.

Strong candidates for this role tend to be people who already understand that first impressions in leasing are made in the first 60 seconds of a tour, and who treat every interaction, including a package pickup or a lockout call, as part of the resident experience. This role builds a foundation that translates well into leasing manager, assistant manager, or property marketing positions down the line, particularly within student housing operators where portfolio growth creates real internal mobility.

What You'll Bring

  • A customer-first approach with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliability and self-discipline in a role that mixes independent tasks with team coordination
  • Comfort with social media platforms and basic marketing support
  • Availability during summer, holidays, and Turn periods
  • Eligibility to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available)

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with health, dental, and vision coverage, 401k matching, paid time off, parental leave, and learning reimbursement. An annual discretionary bonus is also part of the package.
