Leasing Consultant

Luxury high-rise leasing in Northern Virginia moves fast. Ashburn has absorbed significant multifamily development over the past several years, and residents shopping Class A product in that corridor have options. That means the leasing consultant role at a community like this one carries real weight: traffic needs to convert, follow-up needs to be disciplined, and the experience from tour to signed lease has to hold together.

Comstock is hiring a Leasing Consultant for their luxury high-rise community in Ashburn, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus attached to the position. The pay range runs $20 to $24 per hour, plus bonus potential.

What the Day Actually Looks Like

You're managing the full leasing cycle. That means working leads from initial inquiry through application, approval, and move-in. You're preparing lease paperwork, pulling weekly and monthly reports, and keeping your data clean. On the marketing side, you're handling social media presence and coordinating outreach to sustain traffic. On a busy Saturday, you might be touring four prospects, following up on applications from Thursday, and fielding renewal questions from a current resident, all before lunch.

Yardi experience is a plus here. If you've worked in it before, you'll ramp faster. If you haven't, it's learnable, but knowing how to pull a lease or process an application in the system without slowing everything down matters at a high-traffic property.

What Comstock Is Looking For

  • At least one year of leasing experience in a multifamily environment, preferred
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in business or a related field
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to close: not just show well, but move prospects through to a signed lease
  • Strong organizational habits and comfort managing multiple tasks without dropping details
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision needed

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, life insurance, a housing discount, commuter benefits, free parking with EV charging, parental leave, and annual professional development funds.

One honest note on the role: leasing consultants at luxury high-rises are often the first and most frequent point of contact for both prospects and current residents. If your conversion rate is strong but your follow-through on existing residents is inconsistent, that gap shows up in renewals. The consultants who grow into leasing manager or assistant manager roles tend to be the ones who treat the back half of the leasing cycle with the same attention as the front.
