What the Job Actually Looks Like

Housekeeper roles in residential property management don't get a lot of attention, but they're doing real work that directly affects how a community looks and feels to residents and prospects. At Paragon Properties, this position focuses on the interior common areas and amenities across their communities. Lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, clubhouses, fitness areas, anything shared gets cleaned and sanitized on a consistent schedule. When the maintenance team needs a hand turning apartments, you may step in there too.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. No nights, no weekends. That's a genuine quality-of-life factor in a field where plenty of positions blur those lines.

What the Work Requires

This is a physical job. You'll be on your feet most of the day, covering ground across the property. Lifting up to 25 pounds is part of the routine. You'll need reliable transportation to get to the site consistently, and attention to curb appeal matters here too, not just interior cleanliness.

Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, but the posting doesn't require it. What it does require is someone detail-oriented enough to catch what others miss, because common area condition shows up immediately in how residents feel about where they live. A dingy hallway or a neglected amenity space affects perception the same way a slow maintenance response does.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay runs up to $19 per hour depending on experience. The benefits package is more complete than most hourly property roles offer.
