Front Door Waste Technician-Cortland Lakes Edge

Cortland's Lakes Edge community in Pickerington, OH is hiring a Front Door Waste Technician to handle daily valet trash collection and keep the property's common areas clean, safe, and well-presented for residents.

The work is physical and largely independent. Each shift, you'll walk assigned routes through the community (stairs included), collect resident waste bags from doorsteps, transfer everything into leak-proof hampers and then into a designated vehicle, and dispose of it on-site using compactors. Beyond the door-to-door collection, you'll also clear debris from dog waste stations, pool areas, mail kiosks, parking lots, and compactor zones. When spills happen or prohibited items get set out, you handle it or flag it appropriately.

Documentation is part of the job too. Cortland uses a mobile app to log route start and end times and capture photos, so you'll need your own smartphone with a data plan. It's a straightforward system, but consistency matters. Property management teams rely on that reporting to stay informed and to hold the service to standard.

What You'll Bring

• Comfort working outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Valid Class E driver's license for local driving
• Personal smartphone (Android or iOS) with data plan and active email
• Bilingual ability is a plus
