Front Desk Package Attendant - Azzurra
Action Property ManagementA resident texts the front desk at 2 PM: a birthday gift arrived and they need it delivered before their guest does. You already know where it is. You logged it this morning, stored it correctly, and you can have it upstairs in five minutes. That's the rhythm of this role at Azzurra, a community managed by Action Property Management in Los Angeles.
What This Role Covers
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position running from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, which means you're working the heart of the delivery window and the peak hours of resident traffic. Your core responsibility is package lifecycle management: scanning and logging incoming parcels into the management app, storing them in the correct locations, retrieving them from the loading dock, conducting two daily audits, and delivering to units when requested. You'll also sort and distribute USPS mail as it arrives.
Alongside package operations, you serve as a lobby presence. That means monitoring access, using the master phone directory to announce guests and deliveries to residents, and coordinating with on-site staff when a situation needs attention. You'll provide front desk and loading dock coverage as needed, which gives you visibility into how a high-end HOA community actually runs day to day. Pay for this position ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
What You Bring and What You'll Build
The role requires at least one year of customer service experience, a clean background check and drug screening, and a professional appearance and demeanor that fits a luxury residential environment. Action specifically values candidates from hospitality, fine dining, or upscale retail, and actively seeks hospitality management students or recent graduates. If your background is in a hotel front desk or a high-end restaurant, you already understand the standard being set here.
What the role builds is equally worth noting. Working at the intersection of operations and resident relations in an HOA setting sharpens skills that translate directly into assistant community manager and concierge services coordinator positions. You'll develop comfort with property management software, learn how access control and lobby protocols function in a managed community, and get daily practice handling resident concerns with composure under time pressure.
Skills this position requires:
- Customer service experience (minimum one year)
- Professional presentation appropriate for a luxury residential property
- Strong organizational judgment for package tracking and storage
- Proactive, solutions-oriented communication with residents and guests
