Leasing Consultant

Leasing is often described as a sales job, and it is. But the consultants who thrive long-term in property management understand that it's equally a relationship and operations role. This dual-site position at MG Properties, covering Tivalli Apartments and Newberry Square Apartments in Lynnwood, WA, gives you a chance to develop all three skill sets at once.

Working across two communities sharpens something that single-site roles rarely do: adaptability. Each property has its own rhythm, its own resident profile, and its own occupancy story. You'll learn to read traffic patterns across both communities, adjust your pitch based on what each property needs in a given week, and coordinate move-ins with maintenance teams at two different locations. That coordination piece matters more than most job postings acknowledge. A smooth move-in depends on a punched unit, accurate lease paperwork, and a resident who feels genuinely welcomed. When those three things come together consistently, it shows in retention numbers.

The day-to-day work includes greeting and qualifying prospective residents, preparing and executing leases, keeping rental files current and accurate, and handling resident concerns with professionalism. You'll also support monthly administrative tasks and help ensure the property's records stay organized. MG Properties uses a leasing software system, so accurate data entry is part of the job, not an afterthought.

What separates a strong candidate here from an average one isn't just sales confidence. It's the ability to manage competing priorities without letting either property feel like the afterthought. Prospective residents at Tivalli don't know you were just at Newberry Square, and they shouldn't have to. Consistency of service across both sites is the real skill this role develops.

What You'll Bring

  • At least one year of property management or leasing experience (preferred)
  • Genuine sales ability paired with customer service instincts
  • Comfort with leasing software and accurate data entry
  • Professional communication with both prospective and current residents
  • The organizational discipline to manage files and paperwork across two sites

MG Properties has operated across the Western United States for over 30 years, with a track record in acquisition, development, rehabilitation, and management. They promote from within, which means this role can be a real starting point. Leasing consultants who build strong occupancy records and demonstrate operational reliability tend to move into assistant manager roles. From there, the path to property manager becomes much shorter than most people expect when they're first starting out.

Compensation ranges from $22 to $24 per hour depending on experience, with monthly and quarterly bonuses, company profit sharing, a 401(k) with employer match, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and rental discounts.
