Daytime Concierge
BozzutoHigh-rise and mid-rise communities in markets like Silver Spring run on relationships just as much as they run on operations. The leasing team closes deals, the maintenance team keeps things working, but the concierge desk is where residents actually feel whether they made the right decision moving in. Bozzuto understands this, which is why the Daytime Concierge role carries real weight in how the community performs and how residents talk about it to others.
What This Role Actually Looks Like Day to Day
This is a Monday through Friday position, 10AM to 7PM, which means you're covering the heart of resident activity: move-ins, deliveries, afternoon arrivals, evening returnees. You're the face people see when they walk through the door, and Bozzuto takes that seriously enough to make it a dedicated role rather than a front-desk add-on.
A typical day might start with organizing the package room and checking overnight logs, shift into fielding questions from a prospective resident who wants to know about the neighborhood, then pivot to coordinating details for a resident event you're planning for later in the week. You'll know residents by name, their pets by name, and probably their routines. That kind of familiarity doesn't happen by accident; it happens because you genuinely enjoy people and you pay attention.
Social media is also part of the role. You'll contribute to community awareness by posting content that's authentic to the community's character, and you'll encourage satisfied residents to share their experiences through reviews. In a competitive rental market like Silver Spring, those reviews move the needle on traffic and occupancy.
What Bozzuto Is Looking For
- At least two years in a hospitality, hotel, retail, or travel-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication, the kind that works equally well in a quick hallway conversation and a formal email
- Comfort with software, apps, and digital tools used to manage front desk operations
- Attention to detail in package management, reservation logs, and freight elevator scheduling
- A professional appearance and a natural instinct for anticipating what someone needs before they ask
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (the holiday package volume is real)
The hourly rate is $23.08, with bonus opportunities on top of that. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days of paid time off plus holidays, a 401k with company match, and tuition reimbursement.
One thing worth knowing if you're considering this role: concierge work in a luxury residential community tends to create a strong foundation for broader property management careers. People who do this job well develop resident relations skills, operational awareness, and vendor coordination experience that translate directly into leasing, assistant manager, and community manager paths. It's a genuine entry point into the industry for people with hospitality backgrounds who want to build something longer-term.
