Front desk roles in multifamily properties carry more weight than the title suggests. At a community like this one in Miami, the person at the front desk sets the tone for how residents feel about where they live. Waypoint Management Services is hiring a Customer Service Agent to fill exactly that role.

What This Role Actually Looks Like Day to Day

You're the first person a resident sees when they walk in, and often the last voice they hear before a concern gets resolved. That means greeting people as they come and go, answering phones, managing the flow of packages and deliveries, and keeping the front desk organized. You'll log resident requests in Yardi, track work orders, coordinate with vendors to make sure they're following building policies, and notify residents when maintenance is scheduled. Amenity prep and management falls here too, so you'll be setting up and monitoring shared spaces to keep them ready and professional.

There's a genuine administrative layer to this work. Daily activity reports, incident reports, visitor access logs, and supply inventory all need attention. None of it is glamorous, but keeping those records accurate is what allows the broader team to operate smoothly and respond quickly when something comes up.

Who Tends to Thrive in This Position

  • At least two years of experience in leasing, sales, or hospitality (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, and genuinely useful in Miami)
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and property management software, specifically Yardi
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills across residents, vendors, and internal team members
  • Steady under pressure, professional in appearance and manner

Miami's multifamily market is dense and competitive, and residents in this city tend to have high expectations. Bilingual fluency matters here in a real way. Spanish-speaking residents who can work through a maintenance concern or a package issue in their first language leave that interaction feeling genuinely taken care of. That's not a small thing.

The Team Dynamic and What Comes Next

This role sits at the intersection of resident experience and operations. You'll interact with leasing staff, maintenance, vendors, and management regularly, which means you'll develop a clear view of how a multifamily community actually runs. For someone who wants to grow into leasing or property coordination, this is a real entry point into the industry, not a dead end.

Waypoint offers medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one, 120 hours of PTO in the first year with progressive increases, two floating days annually, a 401k with company match, an employee housing discount, and monthly leasing and renewal bonuses. There's also commuter benefits, an employee referral program, and a recognition program that includes monetary rewards.

If you're the kind of person who takes pride in a well-run desk and a well-handled conversation, this role gives you room to show it.
